Engine 279-1 is the 2nd due pumper to all incidents in Swissvale. It is equipped to connect with 3,4, or 5" supply line. The hose bed is designed to hold 1000' of 5" and 500' of 3" supply line.

Engine 279-1 is configured to operate as either an engine company, or a truck company depending on the type of call.
